I met Will this Fall 2012 at the NALSC event in Lower Manhattan. He works with clients all over the world. He’s professional, humorous & understands a lawyer’s journey. He meets with associates to managing partners of large firms.
Way Worse Than Being a Dentist: the Lawyer’s Quest for Meaning, was published in late 2011. This book grew out of his experiences as a corporate attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell back in the late 1990’s. Will was asked, back in early 2010, to write a column about law and psychotherapy for the popular legal website, AboveTheLaw.com and those columns – dozens of them – became the starting point for a book that tackles the unfortunate current state of the legal profession. Way Worse is intended to be funny – but also deadly serious – and it deals with the entire experience of being a lawyer, from contemplating law school to making partner. He would recommend this book to anyone considering a career in law – or anyone already working in the legal profession who’s wondering how matters devolved into their current pickle. Also helpful if you simply know someone working in law and desire a clear-headed view into that strange and unique world.
