Your Email Habits Determine Happiness! — Adam Grant (author of Originals), points to this study which analyzed emails and found two KEY findings. Notes Grant:

 …unhappiness isn’t predicted by how many

e-mails you send, but the fraction you send

outside work hours. And here’s a sign that your

team will be unhappy: your manager takes a long

time to respond to e-mails.

It’s always the simplest findings that offer up the obvious. Here’s a link to the study for more details – and answer your team’s emails quickly and limit when you answer all emails. Just do it!
